Environmental Treatment
Environmental Treatment and Restoration focus on developing and implementing strategies to reduce negative environmental impacts. One of the executed projects was a part of the remediation and restoration program that aimed at remediating and restoring the terrestrial, coastal, and marine habitats that were impacted as a result of the first Gulf War in 1991. The objectives of these projects are to restore the hydrologic function to the degraded tidal channels within salt marsh habitats and to remove oil residues from intertidal flats and beaches additional to mangrove transplanting.
